Patricia Field isn't wasting anytime getting started on her to-do list now that her iconic Bowery store has officially shut its doors. Late last year, Field told Racked that that her "store increasingly sucked up [her] time more and more" to "the detriment of other things that [she] wanted to do." She said she wanted to do other things besides be chained to one thing that sucks up all of [her] time," and now we know what's next.

According to WWD, the costume designer transformed her namesake website from an extension of her store into an online art fashion gallery, offering one-of-a-kind art fashion pieces and made-to-order garments custom painted by artists.

Field will celebrate her new project with an exhibition entitled Art/Fashion at The Howl! Happening Gallery at 6 East 1st Street beginning on Friday, March 25th and running through the weekend.

The paper is reporting that the exhibition will present artists like LaForge, Suzan Pitt, Jody Morlock, Iris Barbee Bonner, Thomas Knight, Suzanne Mallouk, and Kyle Brincefield's made-to-order pieces that can be shipped anywhere in the world.
