The Best Sample Sales to Visit on Your Lunch Breaks This Week

There's nothing but blue skies projected for most of the week ahead of us, so take advantage of spring's warm weather and actually take a lunch break away from your desk — and by lunch, we mean visiting the week's best sample sales that are offering serious discounts on some of our favorite labels.

The Rising States

This warehouse sale that kicked off on Friday continues throughout the week across the street from the boutique, with up to 80% off plenty of local labels and a selection of vintage treasures from Portia & Manny.

Soulcycle Warehouse Sale

Brace yourself for a long line wrapped around the block when the sale first opens and at peak times throughout the week — but if you can make it through that, you deserve all the branded activewear that you can carry. The last time we checked out this sale, we found hoodies, tank tops, sports bras, and a seemingly endless selection of capris and leggings that wasn't higher than $50 per piece.

Hanro of Switzerland

Upgrade your hanging-around-the-apartment wardrobe here, where you can score the brand's loungewear, sleepwear, and more for men and women at up to 75% off retail prices. Note that most of the items will be in sample sizes — a women's small and a men's medium — with a limited range of other sizes available.

Nest Fragrances

The last time this fancy candle brand had a sale, it was in conjunction with Vera Wang; this time, it's all by itself at its New York office. Ideally, we'll see classic candles for $19 (from $40) and three-wick candles for $30 (from $64) once again.

Suno

It's been a while since we checked out a Suno sale, but the last time we were there, we found plenty of womenswear items priced under $100 — in fact, nothing cost more than $175. Hopefully, we can expect more of the same this time around.

Scotch & Soda

Fans of this brand won't want to miss this sale when it starts on Wednesday. The last one we checked out had prices starting at $10 for jewelry and women's cotton tanks. and topping out at $150 for leather pieces, regardless of whether the items were samples or overstock.

Sleepy Jones

This first-ever sample sale from this label will be a mixed bag of sleepwear, T-shirts, underwear, and socks from collections through spring 2015 discounted up to 70% off retail prices. There will also be samples and vintage clothing available to shop.

Zadig & Voltaire

Expect discounts on a variety of styles for both men and women. The last time we stopped by this label's sale, we found prices as low as $36 for men's T-shirts.

102 Franklin St, 4th floor, Tribeca; Wed 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Personnel of New York

This indie boutique's sale is advertising 80% off retail prices on women's apparel, accessories, and footwear, including current season items. It's a true basement sale — changing rooms won't be available, and the shop's even advising customers not to wear heels to safely manage the steep stairs.
