Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Right now in Soho, fashion consultant Suzanne McCoy Fitschen is opening her vintage showroom full of designer archives — basically, pieces designers can borrow to reference when creating their own clothing — for a one-of-a-kind sample sale.

"I've worked with Chloe, Gucci, Vera Wang, and even Gap," Fitschen said this afternoon. "Everything in here has to have an interesting detail."

Because Fitschen is looking to take her business digital, she's holding a major sale with discounts of up to 75% off on brands like Aläia, Thierry Mugler, Issey Miyake, and more for the next four days.

Shoes are $50, boots and jackets are $75, dresses are $100, tops and bags are $25, skirts and pants are $50, and belts are $15. Fitschen is even offering books from her fashion collection for $50 a pop. The sale is like a treasure trove if you're willing to dig; we scoured the racks and found a Jil Sander military-inspired skirt, a Vivienne Westwood dress, a Prada blouse, and several Gucci handbags.

While shopping, be sure to chat with Fitschen — she has plenty of stories to tell of Soho pre-tourist boom, New York nightlife in the '80s, and dressing for different phases in your life.

The sale runs through Friday at 6 p.m. Call (212) 673-0703 or email info@viavtg.com to make an appointment to shop.
