World Trade Center Stores Finally Set an Opening Date

FINANCIAL DISTRICT—Plan your summer vacations carefully. Tribeca Citizen is reporting that the first batch from approximately 125 stores coming to Westfield World Trade Center will open on August 16th; no names were named. Eataly will beat them all, though, with a July debut.

SOHO—The fancy Miami-based boutique The Webster has set its sights on its first New York location, WWD is reporting. Owner Laure Heriard Dubreuil and her team supposedly have their eye on Greene Street; Currently, The Webster's only non-Florida store is in Houston.

SOHO—Well, this is surprising: A Cosmo reporter showed up up to Topshop yesterday morning anticipating a crazy line of eager shoppers wrapped around the block waiting to get their hands Ivy Park, Beyoncé's collaboration with the retailer, as soon as it dropped — and discovered the exact opposite.

UNION SQUARE—Physique 57 announced in an email that its "studio within a studio" is no longer planning to open here due to "unforeseen circumstances" with Peak Perform, the larger gym in which it was supposed to be nestled. You can book a class at any of the other locations here.

MIDTOWN—Gothamist got to know the founders of Bottomless Closet, a local organization that helps women coming off of public assistance enter the job market by outfitting them with donated clothing to wear to interviews. "I really believe that when you help a woman it has a ripple effect," said co-founder Sheila Lambert. "That only makes the city stronger."
