Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today, Rent the Runway opened a new space within its NYC offices that's shoppable to anyone by appointment. Called the ‘Style Studio’, the retail space will feature a selection of the designer dresses and accessories you find on its site from Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Marni, Jason Wu, and more.

How is it different from the Flatiron store, aside from the fact that you can't just walk in? It's a bit more luxe, and it offers six different types of appointments. That includes a 30-minute session that'll get you out the door in rented clothes with refreshed hair and makeup (they'll UberRush your less-fabulous stuff home for you), a "Style & Fit option" that recommends designers and silhouettes based on your measurements and personal taste, and a group session for bridesmaids to help them select coordinating dresses.

The Style Studio will also act as a test space for the brand and its content studio, providing a back drop for video sets. We totally get why — the store (pictured above) looks like somewhere we'd love to get dressed.

The studio will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and you can book your appointment here.
