Come for Misha Nonoo, Stay for Lizzie Fortunato at This Sample Sale

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Misha Nonoo and Lulu Frost joint sample sale began this morning at Lulu Frost's Flatiron studio, and we stopped by when the doors opened to check it out. We were delighted by how good the apparel selection is, even though it's pretty small — there were only three racks and a small table of clothing, but the selection was right-on. And, spoiler alert: Lizzie Fortunato is in the mix here, too.

Misha Nonoo's best deals can be found on the rack of fall 2015 merchandise, which is discounted at 70% off. Thankfully, there are lightweight items that'll work great for summer nights, like the Joseph sheer turtleneck ($58), the Julia silk wide-leg trousers($118), and the Bianca top ($118). We spotted an eco-fur bomber ($173) that is so diva status that we wouldn't mind saving it for later.

While Nonoo's resort collection is currently full-price online, we spotted a number of sweater dresses, rompers, and denim dresses here priced at half-off.

The sale is also a great win for unique handbags and accessories courtesy of Lizzie Fortunato and Lulu Frost. For $200, you can grab one of Fortunato's fur or beaded T-purses (originally $795). Other leather goods include embroidered and beaded clutches for $175 and small coin pouches for $50. Lulu Frost's jewelry discounts are determined by a piece's tag color, which correlates with a price list on the walls, and there's a great vintage selection.
