Everywhere Worth Shopping in NYC This Weekend

Clear eyes, full wallets, can't lose. The forecast projects nothing but gorgeousness on both Saturday and Sunday, so resist the urge to binge Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and get shopping this weekend. We've highlighted the best sales, pop-ups, and events to check out on both days, but if that's not enough to you, head to our sample sales calendar and events listings for even more options.

Saturday

Bulletin: Start off your weekend at this pop-up shop for independent designers. You'll find jewelry, candles, ceramics, apothecary items, and more from the likes of Hi Wildflower and Emiko Shinozaki, and most of what you'll find is under $150. There will also be a DJ spinning the whole time, plus snacks from Lot45 and a full bar — perfect for enjoying at the venue's outdoor space. If you can't make it this weekend, they've got events like this set up over the next three months.

411 Troutman St, Bushwick; Sat 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Rising States: In addition to clearing out its own shelves for a spring warehouse sale, the boutique is inviting designer friends like Samantha Pleet and Kalen Kaminski of Upstate to bring their archives and samples to sell for up to 80% off retail prices. It's too much stuff for the tiny shop, so owner Meagan Delaney rented a space just across the street.

179 Ludlow St, Lower East Side; 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Elie Tahari: It's the last day of this brand's seasonal sample sale, which in the past has been reliable for upscale separates and dresses that work for work and more at discounts hovering around 70% off.

501 Fifth Ave, 2nd floor, Midtown; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Diesel: The brand's taking part of Madison Avenue Watch Week at its new flagship store by offering complimentary customizations on select styles from its timepiece collection, plus a gift with purchase (and free bubbly, like any good event).

625 Madison Ave, Midtown; 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Flying Tiger: Saturday is opening day for the quirky Danish brand's second New York City store, so in addition to more $2 notebooks shaped like food than you know what to do with, you'll get the added bonus of free games, music, and snacks.

1282 Third Ave, Upper East Side; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday

The second half of the weekend is a good time to sweep as many of the week's best sample sales that are still going on for last-minute markdowns. Oscar de la Renta and Elizabeth and James have already announced additional discounts — an extra 20% off apparel and shoes at Oscar (open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 150 Greene St), and an extra 30% off all clothing that's not a sample for the Olsen twins' label (open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 260 Fifth Avenue).

Further discounts haven't been announced for Veda (12 p.m. to 4 p.m., 271 Canal St) just yet, but it's worth stopping by anyway to see if anything new has been stocked. And to wrap up the sample circuit, the weather finally feels right for visiting the ongoing Yumi Kim sale in Nolita (40 Prince St, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily), filled with $75 silky dresses and rompers.

If you're sample sale-weary by this point, go look at giant animals instead. April 17th is the debut date for those massive bunny sculptures at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey St). While you're there, shop everything from J.Crew to Gucci at the upscale mall.
