If a crowded subway is what stands between your midtown office desk and your bike at Swerve Fitness in Flatiron, you're about to be out of excuses for missing a workout. The cycling studio that divides its riders into three teams to complete for class supremacy announced on Instagram that it's gearing up to open its second studio at 21 West 46th Street (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues) in the early spring.
"All of our careers started in midtown, then we left to create something that we were passionate about," co-founder Eric Posner wrote to Racked when asked about the new neighborhood. "Now, we are bringing our passion back to midtown."
At 6,000 square feet, this studio is double the size of the one in Flatiron and can accommodate 60 bikes. It also includes a private women's lounge, and the smoothie bar will one-up the downtown one with the addition of coffee drinks — so you can get your pre-work sweat session and caffeine all in one place.
Look out for a specific opening date in the coming weeks by following the studio on Instagram.
