Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you’re looking for something new to shop in Soho, head to 156 Spring Street. Through Friday evening, that’s where you’ll find Cienne, the locally-produced womenswear label that just celebrated its one-year anniversary, along with direct-to-consumer fine jewelry from Aurate and handbags from Von Holzhausen.

"I think we compliment each other in terms of categories," Cienne founder Nicole Heim told Racked over the phone recently of her pop-up mates. Not only are all three labels run by women and headquartered/majority-produced in NYC, but shoppers can almost create an entire outfit when they all come together — just bring your own shoes.

It’s a good opportunity to discover Cienne particularly, since the brand is primarily online (though you can also make an appointment to shop the Chelsea showroom). It uses high-quality textiles made in small batches by artisans around the world to produce minimalistic, seasonless, and trend-averse pieces in the Garment District that’ll last for years.

"Offline efforts have always been a big part of our brand," Heim explained. "We try to pop-up in places that feel convenient and as easy as it can be for [the customer] to come and interact with the brand and understand what we are about...Fabric and fit are two of our most important attributes, so being able to see it in person is huge."

See it in person for yourself today and tomorrow, July 15th; the pop-up is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
