NEW YORK CITY—Guys, what does it take to keep that new haircut fresh — or "crispy?" Don't worry, the New York Times is on it. The answer falls somewhere between three and six weeks, according to the stylish men the paper talked to, or even more frequently if you're trying to maintain "the brand-new-sneaker look," but for your head.

DUMBO—It's hard out here for P.S. Bookshop, an independent used and out-of-print bookstore. Owner Yuval Gans has been unable to keep up with ballooning real estate taxes and rent and will likely shutter at the end of the month, Gothamist discovered. Currently, the store's children's books are 50% off and everything else is 25% off.

TRIBECA—Pookie & Sebastian will close its 147 Reade Street location at the end of the month, Tribeca Citizen noticed. Right now, you can get 25% any three full-price items.
