Take Free Fitness Classes and Meet the Founder of AKT inMotion at Saks This Weekend

AKT inMotion

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Here's a word you don't see too often at Saks Fifth Avenue: free. That's exactly how much it'll cost to take some of New York City's fanciest fitness classes at the department store on Saturday when AKT inMotion, Physique 57, and Pure Yoga stop by to host abbreviated sessions of their popular workouts.

It's part of the department store's celebration of Contemporary Week, where it highlights the newest designers and trends to hit the fifth floor. And if free workouts aren't incentive enough to come by, perhaps the opportunity to meet AKT founder Anna Kaiser will entice you.

Pure Yoga classes are at 10:30am and 11am, Physique 57 classes are at 12:30pm and 1pm, and AKT classes are at 2:30pm and 3pm. To grab a spot at one of these first-come, first-serve workouts, send an email to the respective address: AKTRSVP@s5a.com, or Physique57RSVP@s5a.com, PureYogaRSVP@s5a.com. Space is limited, and an RSVP only reserves a single spot — so if you want to go with a friend, make sure they email right away, too.

Each class comes with a complimentary Saks yoga mat and post-workout juice, and if you make a purchase of at least $250 in the contemporary department before March 20th, you'll also get a complimentary A.L.C. candle and a voucher for a full-length free class at any one of these studios.
