Nordstrom shook up New York City's retail scene last week with the announcement of its additional midtown addresses for its first Manhattan flagship. And now we have an idea of what the Seattle-based department store will look like, thanks to New York Yimby: the real estate blog has renderings of the facades that'll enclose a total of 363,000 square feet of space running along 57th Street and near Columbus Circle.

The massive shopping destination is expected to open all of the stores simultaneously in 2019. The blog is reporting that Nordstrom will build out its presences on multiple floors of the existing pre-war structures, seamlessly connecting the new with the old in what will be the ultimate experience for shoppers.

"It's going to be the best Nordstrom store — the newest one with a lot of exciting elements," co-president Pete Nordstrom said to WWD last week, rising ambitiously to the status of "international flagship." After all, "It can't be just another nice regional store. It's got to be better."
