Lululemon Lab

Where: 50 Bond Street, Noho
When: Tuesday, March 29th
Why we're so dang excited: This isn't your average Lululemon — Manhattan's already got plenty of those. The Lab is where the spandex-happy brand tests out some of its more "experimental" merchandise, so you'll find some more athleisure-focused pieces, true samples, and designer collaborations that aren't available anywhere else (expect perhaps the only other Lab location in the world, right by the brand's Vancouver headquarters). There's a sneak peek of what you'll find at the Flatiron store right now.

Where: 17 East 71st Street, Upper East Side
When: Tomorrow? Next week? Next month?
Why we're so dang excited: Even though the expected opening date for this store has come and gone with zero notice of when it'll truly debut, we noticed last month that work is well underway at the Madison Avenue-adjacent retail townhouse, so hopefully the doors will open in the next couple of months. Whether it'll be the Olsen twins' interpretation of New York City living — like the Melrose Place store is to Los Angeles life — remains to be seen.

Channing Hargrove

Aquazzura

Where: 935 Madison Avenue, Upper East Side
When: "Coming Soon!" according to the sign on the door (exclamation theirs).
Why we're so dang excited: Three words: Lace. Up. Flats. The designer of one of the most popular shoe styles of last year (and this year, too) has yet to establish a standalone retail presence in the United States, and what better place to do it than right next to the new home of the Met Breuer? Between name recognition and tourist foot traffic, we're expecting this store to be packed when it finally opens — whenever that may be.

Flying Tiger

Where: 1282 Third Avenue, Upper East Side
When: Signage on the construction facade indicate an April opening.
Why we're so dang excited: It's the second NYC outpost for the Danish home goods store that's just such a fun experience to shop that you can't not walk out with a little something — especially because so much of their selection rings up at $10 or less. An Upper West Side store will follow later this year.

Adore Me

Where: 205 West 39th Street, Garment District
When: April 6th
Why we're so dang excited: The online-only affordable lingerie brand is coming off your computer screen and into New York City with a by-appointment showroom at its offices. One-on-one fittings and consultations with a stylist won't affect the $39.99 price point for a matching set — though similar services are free at other lingerie stores around the city, their selections are often much more expensive.

H&M

Where: 4 World Trade Center, Financial District
When: Likely this season, but it hasn't been confirmed.
Why we're so dang excited: As the Financial District's shopping scene has built up exponentially in the past few years, H&M has been a conspicuous absence, considering that it's pretty much everywhere else in Manhattan. Expect this location across the street from the Oculus to open before the rest of the Westfield World Trade Center this summer, which include sister brands COS and & Other Stories.

Domenico Vacca

Where: 15 West 55th Street, Midtown
When: April
Why we're so dang excited: The Italian designer's 8,000 square feet of retail space that includes men's and women's apparel, accessories, home goods, a café, a barber shop, a salon, and a member's only club with a patio, a dining room, and event space is just the beginning — yes, really. Vacca is turning the rest of the building into apartments (fully furnished with his home line of course) for members to use for short-term stays.

Warby Parker

Where: 55 Bergen Street, Cobble Hill
When: Unspecified, but it'd be a shame if they didn't open in the next of couple months (see below).
Why we're so dang excited: Though the online optical frame retailer already has three stores in Manhattan — in the Meatpacking District, in Soho, and on the Upper East Side— this recently-announced location will be the only one with a backyard, which it'll share with Aesop and Clare V. In other words, get ready for some good summer parties.

Yogasmoga

Where: 10 Bond Street, Noho
When: "Late spring," according to recent reports.
Why we're so dang excited: The "Made in the USA" activewear label has stores in nearby Greenwich, Connecticut and Westchester County, but doesn't have a retail presence in the five boroughs yet (save for a display at Seaport Studios over the summer), even though it's Manhattan-based. It'll open next door to Boglioli, an Italian menswear brand.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Where: Brookfield Place, Financial District
When: June, according to latest estimates
Why we're so dang excited: Its opening at the tail end of spring will put a cap on the rumors that the department store would head downtown that first sprang up two years ago. It'll be interesting to see how Saks interprets Financial District shoppers' needs in a much smaller footprint as compared to the flagship (like Barneys just did in Chelsea). Update: Saks Fifth Avenue informed us after publication that the opening has been pushed back to the fall.
