Those who know a thing or two about vintage shopping have likely discovered Maeven, the website run by Brooklyn-based Amy Yee. While she's previously taken her offerings out to the public at markets like the Brooklyn Flea and noted vintage shows like A Current Affair, customers haven't had a dedicated venue to check out the shoes, apparel, and bags in person — until now.
This past weekend marked the debut of the Maeven pop-up shop at 170 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, just a couple blocks from Yee's studio and storage site in the Pencil Factory. That means she can easily swap merchandise in and out; currently, what's on the racks is mostly from the 1950s and later, not including the Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags sitting on the highest shelves
