Flower Girl, Project No. 8 Join Columbus Circle Subway's Shopping Center

It's been nearly two years since we heard that all that space in Columbus Circle's cavernous subway station would be converted into a shopping center, and now WWD says we've got another two months to go before any of the shops at TurnStyle are expected to open. And when it does officially debut in April, it'll feature a lot of local flavor, including just-announced additions like Flower Girl and Project No. 8.

In the fashion space, they're joining the likes of men's label Spectre & Co., Lush Cosmetics, and Studio Manhattan Art + Design, the company that makes accessories with images of the subway or city landmarks plastered all over them.

The paper also mentions that Fab.com will operate a pop-up with a rotating accessory of apparel and accessories, and The New Stand (the underground shop now open at Union Square and Brookfield Place) will offer "gadgets and accessories. Otherwise, expect to see a lot of food, plus some big chains like Papyrus and Starbucks.

"I looked for stores with a little bit of edge that understand design and know how to reinvent themselves," project developer Susan Fine said to WWD. The 14,700-square foot space is almost completely leased, but it wasn't specified how many retail spaces remain vacant.
