Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Remember when you heard that Dolce & Gabbana was planning to return to Soho with a massive store, then promptly forgot about it because it doesn't yet exist and here we are 14 months later? Dolce & Gabbana hasn't forgotten about it. In fact, the luxury fashion house is going full-steam ahead: It's on the local community board agenda for Tuesday May 10th regarding its application "to sell liquor on-premise" at 155 Mercer Street.

Who knows whether that means there will be a walk-up bar somewhere among its four floors, or if drink service is a perk that'll be reserved for personal shopping appointments, or if cute cater-waiters will just be standing at the door with trays of champagne glasses at the ready for anyone who wanders in (the latter, please!).

What it definitely means, though, is that this store is coming for us at some point in the future — hopefully sooner than later.
