Italian Dressing for a New York City Wedding

It's Weddings Week on Racked, so we took a trip down to New York City's Marriage Bureau to interview happy couples. We're spotlighting one stylish duo every day this week.

A year ago, Aaron and Francesca met through work, at an architecture firm where he worked and she was interning. Last Friday, they made their way to the Marriage Bureau in lower Manhattan to say their vows.

Standing across the street from the Bureau, where a small flower- and tree-filled oasis provides a lush backdrop for wedding pictures, Aaron and Francesca cited two of the more popular reasons for planning a City Hall wedding: efficiency, and having a "real New York experience."

Given her background in architecture, it seems fitting that Francesca would choose a tailored, sculptural coat dress for the occasion. Her textured, high-collared look comes courtesy of Alessio Visone, a designer based in Napoli, her hometown. "He’s a friend of the family," Francesca says. As for Aaron, who hails from Florida? An all-American J.Crew suit.
