New York’s Fashion Forecast for Monday, July 11th, 2016

Welcome to Fashion Forecast, where you can find out what New York City’s weather will be like today — and most importantly, how to dress for it.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Good morning! Today is Monday, July 11th, 2016. According to weather.com, the temperature is 67 degrees in Midtown Manhattan right now, making that 74% humidity pretty tolerable (don’t worry, it’ll dip as the day goes on). The weekend rain means things have cooled off a bit: High temps are hitting a very pleasant 82 degrees later on, right about that same time you have a meeting scheduled with the ice cream truck down the block.

Wind and rain shouldn’t be a concern today, so as far hair goes, rub a bit of dry shampoo into the roots and work whatever you were doing yesterday. You probably have very little Sunday-to-Monday people crossover, so take advantage of it.

So what should you wear today? It’s Monday — let’s not get too complicated. Pick a button-down white shirt in whatever fit you choose and pair it with all-black everything: (indoor) jacket, sandals, and shorts or pants, depending on your mood and/or how well you handle summer subway platforms. Top it off with a little something sparkly around the neck.

Now get out there and get this week started — and put a little twirl in there if you’re feeling victorious just for making it out of bed:
