Isabel Marant's Madison Avenue Debut Is Today

When we noticed the hours posted outside of Isabel Marant's new Madison Avenue townhouse store two weeks ago, we knew its opening date couldn't be far away. And according to WWD, that opening date is today.

"My fashion can be quite Boho...[and] that's perfect for Soho," the French designer told the paper, referring to her first New York City store that opened on Broome Street in 2010. "The uptown woman is more dressy and conventional. The clientele is not exactly the same." That's why this location is focused on the main collection and offers "very few pieces from the Etoile line, which is more sporty and casual."

Photos of the former Bottega Veneta space show an interior with concrete floors and woven straw-colored walls, with Marant's shoes displayed on backlit shelves and custom centerpieces on the floor. There's no look at that private garden the 1,700-square foot space comes with.

Which brand will be next to join her on Madison Avenue? We're putting our money on Aquazzura, which was originally announced for February.
