Barneys Downtown Knows You Don't Use Your Kitchen

CHELSEA—Barneys' uptown flagship isn't the only location with thought-provoking windows. The downtown store is getting in on the action with a series of windows that explore how New Yorkers use their kitchens, according to the New York Times. Spoiler: "The room is rarely used for cooking."

MIDTOWN—Today, Talbot's Madison Avenue flagship is debuting its new look that removes the "clutter" and uses more light, according to WWD. The six-floor townhouse now boasts separate spaces for plus-size, petites, and one-on-one appointments. It's all part of an effort to focus more on Manhattan that may or may not include a Financial District store in the near future.

NOLITATiny Empire, the Williamsburg-based juice brand opened its first Manhattan location at 63 Spring Street last summer only to close in November because of zoning issues, and now EV Grieve is reporting that now it won't reopen at all — the landlord has officially taken possession of the store.

MIDTOWN—The tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere, 432 Park Avenue, debuted its glassy retail spaces this week, development company Macklowe Properties announced in a press release. Who will be taking the expensive leases on 57th Street, also known as Billionaire's Row, has yet to be determined.
