MIDTOWN WEST—The American Kennel Club is opening its first retail store at the base of a luxury building, the Wall Street Journal reports. Services here include walking, day care, boarding, grooming, and training, and it'll be the first of several stores in metropolitan areas across the country. No word yet on whether they'll accept mutts.

CIVIC CENTER—Reem Acra probably has thousands of gorgeous gowns at her fingertips to put on whenever she pleases, but for her recent City Hall wedding to plastic surgeon Nicolas Tabbal, Page Six says that the designer chose "civilian clothes" for the ceremony.

MIDTOWN—The next step in Bill Blass's relaunch plans is retail, and WWD reports that the label has chosen to take that step with Bloomingdale's. A pop-up shop will open at the 59th Street flagship in April that features creative director Chris Benz's range of apparel, handbags, and shoes; it's preceding a standalone store that'll open here in 2017.

STATEN ISLAND—The only thing bigger than Big Ang's personality? Her mural. DNAinfo has pictures of the late Mob Wives star's memorial tribute that was unveiled over the weekend on the side of her sister's children's clothing store Country Mouse, not far from the now-closed Drunken Monkey bar that she co-owned.

MANHATTAN—Troubles at John Barrett leave the fate of its Manhattan salons in the balance. As former CEO John Hedges filed a demand for arbitration seeking $500,000 in damages for his reported public firing last month, it's unclear whether the brand will go forward with its Westfield World Trade Center or 56th Street townhouse locations, WWD reports. It also sounds (and looks) like the Bond Street salon, which opened in October, is done for good.
