Remember last year when we told you that American Eagle was bringing designer Todd Snyder back to New York City's retail scene with a freestanding store in a yet-to-be-determined location? We've got that location now: The Real Deal is reporting that Todd Snyder will open its first stateside retail store at 23 East 26th Street in October (the designer hashtagged #25e26st on Instagram, though).

The store will be 5,700 square feet and will be focused on the Todd Snyder New York line, but it's likely that it'll get some of the casual-but-stylish vibes of City Gym courtesy of Tailgate, the college campus-inspired line Snyder started with his father in 1991 that "sealed the deal" with American Eagle. That offshoot currently has just one store near Iowa State University.

"We dress younger techie guys but we also dress guys who go into boardrooms," Snyder said, summing up his ideal client for his new store. This location will have a ton of fitness-heavy neighbors on nearby Fifth Avenue, including Sweaty BettyAthleta, and Bandier.
