Women that share a love for Tory Burch clothing and working out will more than likely fall in love with the new Tory Sport store that opened late last week in the Flatiron District. Situated just a few blocks from flagship stores for Lululemon and Bandier (not to mention a bunch of other activewear options), the Tory Sport store promises to have something for women looking for workout gear that's equal parts function and fashion.

"I think we manage to link more fashion with performance wear. Most of the performance competitors here are very bold, but we try to create something that you don't see screaming 'performance' and that you that you can feel comfortable in when going to lunch," Kerstin Dorst, one of the two lead Tory Sport designers, told us at a recent celebration for the store.

The decor here is inspired by different elements of sports with a 60s and 70s vibe, but doesn't really bear any similarities to the Elizabeth Street pop-up. It houses the entire Tory Sport collection, from its vibrant running gear and swimwear, to its adorable little tennis skirts, sweaters, and golf clothing. The store's collection also includes a selection of  "Coming and Going'" pieces that are meant for wearing to and from the gym, but they're pretty enough to wear regardless of whether you plan on fitting in a workout.

"Here you have this nice blend of fashion and sport where you can even layer everything and want to wear it everyday, because it's more designed than just a performance product. We have a fashion range that performs," Jens Werner,Tory Sport's other lead designer, explained.

Just before the fitting rooms, there's a sweet seating area equipped with a fireplace, chairs and tables. Towards the store's center, you'll find a large illuminated cube, which acts as the Tory Sport interactive table. It's currently being used to display the brand's campaign, but will later become a device that shoppers can use to play games and find information about products.

Check it out for yourself if you're in need of some new gear — the leggings might be on the pricier side, but when they're not solely reserved for the studio, you'll get a lot more use out of them.
