The latest e-commerce brand to try its hand at a brick-and-mortar store in New York City is Stone & Strand, the jewelry site that carries both everyday and high-end pieces from the likes of Alison Lou, Elizabeth and James, Stephen Webster, and Pamela Love. It debuted a small customer showroom off of its Tribeca office earlier this month that looks more like your Southern aunt's eclectic living room than your typical monochromatic salon with gems locked away in glass cases.

Instead, you can pick up Dana Rebecca's necklaces or Nora Kogan's rings from uncovered trays scattered around the room, or let a stylist bring you what you've pre-selected from the website while you lounge on the couch, flanked by shelves filled with fashion books and vintage pink vases and walls adorned in emerging artists' work.

The brand also wants to use this space for events, so it's kicking off that mission with Valentine's Day weekend shopping hours on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, where Stems Brooklyn will also be on hand so customers can get jewelry and flowers in one place. Otherwise, you can walk in or make an appointment on weekdays between 10am and 6pm.
