Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

J. Mendel's fancy two-day sample sale returns with walk-in hours on Thursday, March 10th, and shoppers can expect up to 75% off retail prices on women's fur pieces, ready-to-wear, gowns, cocktail attire, and accessories.

The last sale we attended saw high discounts on special production samples and one-off items like Manolo Blanks shoes and fur offerings, which included fox fur trooper hats, fur coats, and hooded mink vests. In terms of ready-to-wear, we found lots of dresses and skirts, a rack full of leather pieces, and wool outerwear. There were also beautiful long evening gowns, like a strapless silk chiffon gown and a three-ply dress with an embroidered bodice.

As with previous sales, you can make an appointment to shop before the public on Wednesday, March 9th by emailing jenxsamplesale@gmail.com. If you'd prefer to shop without assistance on Thursday or Friday, check back here for the sale's hours and location, which have yet to be disclosed by the host.
