Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Credo, one of the most comprehensive clean-beauty retailers around, just opened its first New York City store at 9 Prince Street in Nolita. The e-commerce shop stocks skincare, bodycare, and cosmetics from all-natural, organic, and vegan brands, and currently only has one other location in its home city of San Francisco — making the New York store its second in the entire country.

Online, Credo stocks the Georgia-based One Love OrganicsRed Flower, and R.L. Linden & Co, whose line of plant-based products "are only hand-mixed in the presence of good energy." (Are you surprised this didn't open in LA first?) Other brands include ILIA, S.W. Basics, and Gwyneth Paltrow's Juice Beauty, to name just a few.

Stop by to check out Credo's highly-curated, completely-green collections, and take advantage of their Clean Beauty Swaps, where you can dump your old cosmetics and have a sales associate help you find similar products. But before you toss your entire arsenal, you might want to read this first.
