The Upper East Side will get a whole lot more colorful and ... tchotchke-ier? when Flying Tiger opens its second stateside store there, WWD reports. The ultra-affordable Danish home goods store — seriously, nothing there is over $20, and most items aren't over $10 — that made a splash when it opened last spring will plant its next flag on 1282 Third Avenue (between 73rd and 74th streets) in mid-April.

The brand understands that it'll be catering to more locals in this location, which used to be Kate's Paperie, but that won't make much of a difference in what you'll find between the two stores — or, more importantly, how it's set up.

"We always do the maze," managing director Tina Kanter said to the paper, who also confirmed that the store will be about the same size as the first, around 5,000 square feet. "The fun, energy, music, and excitement will all be the same."

This news comes while New York City technically has zero Flying Tiger stores to shop at right now — the Flatiron location suffered a burst pipe last week and has yet to reopen. But eventually, the brand will have several locations in the area, since they're currently scouting locations throughout the five boroughs, Long Island, and New Jersey.

"We really like the energy of the street," Kanter added. "We're feeling out what the best neighborhoods are for us."
