Along with new calendars and new resolutions come new retail real estate listings for Flatiron's section of Fifth Avenue. Over the weekend, we noticed that Joe Fresh is now closed at 110 Fifth Avenue, on the corner of 16th Street. This doesn't come as a total surprise: We heard that this location was on the chopping block way back in the spring, along with the store at 510 Fifth Avenue. The latter store appears to be open for now.

And nearby at 108 Fifth Avenue, window signage at Paul Smith alerts passersby that that store will be shuttering on January 18th, or Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This one's really more of a relocation rather than a closure, since the British retailer is in the process of setting up shop in a former jewelry store on Bleecker Street in the West Village.

Any guesses for what'll replace these two businesses? An activewear brand is probably a good guess, considering the block — Lululemon and Sweaty Betty are recent or upcoming additions to the spandex-filled shopping options in this neighborhood, with Bandier and Tory Sport on deck.
