Welcome to Tiny Homes, an idea that is more popular with minimalists than with neighborhood associations and zoning boards. We'll point out the fun parts. You'll have to check out the logistics and legalities - and this one has logistics.
Here's a tiny that has so much of everything that it looks to lack floor space, and it has more of that than usual, too. For $20,000 you get 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. That's only $10,000 per bedroom. This is a house that is 180 square feet, large by Tiny on wheels standards, but for a price that is less than some credit card limits. Don't expect the seller to take VISA though.
Most tinies have appliances built for apartments, RVs, or boats. This one has all the major appliances: refrigerator, four-burner stove, oven, two basin sink, and a washing machine. The only concession to being on wheels seems to be the 12V lighting and the composting toilet. As usual, there's on-demand hot water, so the shower isn't an exercise in sacrifice.
But what does it lack? It is a tiny, so it purposely lacks space; but this design lacks open floor space. Yes, it has 180 square feet. Does that count the two, count them two, loft bedrooms? In addition to those appliances it also has lots of cabinets. Maybe this is the micro-home for the almost-minimalist.
As for style, well, whether it lacks style is a matter of personal preference. It effectively has two stories. The peaked roof is a nice touch. An awning and a porch and some eaves and some after-purchase improvements would all add character. The duel pane windows are meant to be energy efficient, but dual pane windows would be better. Imagine, dueling windows would give a new meaning to shoot outs.
Oh yeah, and as for being in Seattle, maybe that was chosen as the listing location because very few people, including Seattle-ites, have any idea of where Anderson Island is without asking the Internet. That may be moot. They're offering to deliver it at $2/mile, which is about $100 to Seattle. Let them worry about the ferry fee. You've got a place for this, right?
