Good Keuken Exits the Old Salt Marketplace

Old Salt Marketplace's in-house cooking school, Good Keuken, has decamped for parts unknown. According to an email announcement, Keuken founder/chef Blake Van Roekel — who transitioned the late Robert Reynolds' ChefStudio into her the Keuken culinary education outfit in March 2013 — wrote that "Good Keuken can no longer stay in our current location. We wish them well in their success and future."

Van Roekel writes that the school, which recently hired former Raven & Rose chef David Padberg as its director of curriculum, plans to relocate, and the school finished its first year in business "beyond the black," graduating eight students from its full-time professional training program. Old Salt co-founder/butcher Tracey Satterfield has also exited the restaurant/market.
